Lively alternatives to dinner and a movie

A little inspiration to mix up your date nights...

Are your date nights a bit bland these days? Maybe you budget time out to recharge and reconnect, but struggle to find inspiration to do something worthwhile together...something different than the 'usual'. As someone who hates the dinner and a movie routine, here's our list of go-tos:

  • Indoor laser tag and a taqueria. Ok--yes, it's a bit juvenile, maybe, but why do kids get to have all the fun...
  • Badminton at the local leisure centre
  • Lawn bowling and afternoon tea
  • A drop-in yoga or pilates class (partner's yet to agree to this one, but I swear it's a fab idea :)
  • Crazy golf and pizza
  • Train for a 10k together (book in childcare so that you can do your weekly long runs together)
  • Art exhibition and cake (many exhibitions are open late on Fridays)
  • Make bread together--take a cooking class
  • A board game and wine: Ingenious is our favourite of the moment.

Goodness knows we could use a bit of inspiration...have a few ideas? Send them our way at k[at]bumblebox.co.uk, @bumbleboxuk.

Bumble Box kits are designed to bring families together. We catch animals' footprints in the sand, give the trees a shake to see what's living in there, host a Family Olympics, plant a fairy garden, race homemade boats in the stream...you get the drift. Together, we'll make it through your family-time bucket list. Fancy learning more about our kits? Visit us at Bumblebox.co.uk.
